- To ensure a smooth bump in, National Media has engaged GEL Events to assist with the loading dock management. The lower level loading dock has very limited space and cannot sustain unnecessary use. We have implemented the following restrictions on the dock usage to ensure a smooth bump in and out for all exhibitors and contractors.
- Vehicle/truck access to the Upper Loading Dock, Halls 5-7 is via Darling Drive. Access is strictly reserved for exhibitors who have booked via GEL Events. High visibility vests and enclosed shoes must be worn at all times whilst on the loading dock. If you do not have a loading dock booking your vehicle will be sent down to the carpark or be required to wait offsite until space becomes available. You will only be able to book loading dock access in correspondence with your stand being built/ready for occupation.
- Vehicles may only remain on the loading dock for a maximum of 20 minutes for loading/unloading purposes due to the high volume of vehicles.
- Fees apply for the use of the forklift. If you require use of a forklift, you must pre-book this with GEL Events via Forms To Action > Loading Dock & Forklifting Bookings.
- Vehicles on the dock must not exceed 10kmh and hazard lights must be active at all times and whilst engines are running.
- Your courier can drop off your shipment whether you are present or not, ONLY if you have given authority that your delivery can be left without a signature. We accept no responsibility for goods left without you collecting and securing them.
- Please find more information here: Deliveries, Parking and Storage
- If you have an advert booked, there will be an event magazine advert submission form in Forms to Action with details about your advert and how to submit it.
- GEL Events are able to provide forklifting services (fees and bookings are required), pallet jacks and trolleys (free of charge) to exhibitors during bump in and bump out. Please note that these services are on a first come first served basis.
- Yes! The Event Organiser (National Media) and the venue have an obligation to control noise generated at the event. It is important you respect this policy to ensure the visitors have an enjoyable experience at the show and allow your neighbouring exhibitors to conduct business in a suitable environment conducive to doing business.
- The maximum permissible sound level in any area of the event is 82dB, measurable at a distance of three metres from the source of the sound using a decibel meter. Exhibitors showing videos/films, generating excessive noise or using audio visual aids that could impact adjacent exhibitors may be requested to minimise noise levels.
- During the operational hours of the event, the Operations team will be monitoring noise levels on the show floor. Should it be deemed that an exhibitor is producing noise levels exceeding the permissible sound levels, they will be asked to reduce the volume. In the event multiple requests have been made towards the exhibitor and they are not adhering to the Noise Policy they will have their power switched off.
- The floor plan is changing on a daily basis, so please contact your Event Coordinator for the latest version.
