- The preferred logistics supplier for is GEL Events. GEL Events can assist you with moving goods from your location to the venue. If you would like a quote for freight services and storage, please use the order form under Forms To Action
- Deliveries to the event can be made during bump in only. To make deliveries to the dock, you are required to book a loading dock time with GEL Events. The loading dock will not be open on event days for deliveries. Return deliveries can be made during bump out. See the full list of Key Dates & Times here.
- Please note, if you are NOT onsite to sign for your delivery, it will be turned away unless stated it can be left without a signature. GEL Events and the organisers will NOT sign for deliveries. Please clearly highlight on the delivery label and delivery instructions that your goods can be left without a signature if you will not be onsite to receive.
- If you have goods being collected from the venue on Sunday 18 June, please ensure these are collected between 7am - 2pm. Your goods MUST be clearly labelled with a return address and packed in the centre of your stand. Anything that is not packed or labelled in the centre of your stand will be disposed of at 2pm. Do not leave goods in cupboards and remember to disconnect all power cords and USB's from hired TV's. We cannot accept responsibility for lost goods.
- Any goods left over that has been labelled and packaged up but not collected by your freight provider, will be taken back to the GEL Events warehouse for collection. Please ensure your pallets/boxes are clearly labelled with your contact details.
- To ensure a smooth bump in, National Media has engaged GEL Events to assist with the loading dock management. The loading dock has very limited space and cannot sustain unnecessary use. We have implemented the following restrictions on the dock usage to ensure a smoother bump in and out for all exhibitors and contractors.
- The loading dock for Design Show Australia is: Door 6, Bays 11-16.
- The loading dock for ArchiBuild Expo is: Door 9, Bays 17-18.
- Vehicle/truck access to the loading dock via Normanby Road. Access is strictly reserved for exhibitors who have booked via GEL Events. High Visibility vests and enclosed shoes must be worn at all times whilst on the loading dock. If you do not have a loading dock booking your vehicle will be sent down to the carpark or be required to wait offsite until space becomes available. You will only be able to book loading dock access in correspondence with your stand being built/ready for occupation.
- Vehicles may only remain on the loading dock for a maximum of 20 minutes for loading/unloading purposes due to the high volume of vehicles.
- Fees apply for the use of the forklift. If you require use of a forklift, you must pre-book this with GEL Events via the Loading Dock and Forklifting Bookings form.
- Vehicles on the dock must not exceed 10kmh and hazard lights must be active at all times and whilst engines are running.
- MCEC car park: Entry: via Normanby Road. Max. vehicle height 2.1m. There is no discount for parking at this venue.
- South Wharf Retail car park: Entry: via Convention Centre. Max. vehicle height 2.1m. There is no discount for parking at this venue.
- Freeway car park(open air parking for oversize vehicles): Entry: via Munro Street or Normanby Road. No vehicle height restrictions. There is no discount for parking at this venue.
- GEL Events will supply forklifting services (fees apply and bookings are required), pallet jacks and trolleys (free of charge) to exhibitors during bump in and bump out. Please note that these services are on a first come first served basis.
- Although GEL Events can provide assistance, it is the exhibitor's responsibility to provide adequate staff and equipment to transport goods at the venue, to avoid the risk of injury.
- Any rubbish at your stand during bump in is to be neatly packed up and placed in the middle of the aisle for cleaners to collect.
- If you need to restock your stand during the show, please do so between 8am and 10am before the show opens. During this time you may use a hand trolley.
- You may restock during show opening hours, but it must be done by hand (no trolleys allowed).
- Any rubbish from restocking your stand on show days is to be placed neatly in or next to rubbish bins located on the show floor. Please do not fill venue bins with packaging waste.
- Exhibitor storage is available and bookings are facilitated by GEL Events. Please book with them directly.
- Any goods left unattended are the exhibitors' exclusive responsibility. Any empty boxes that you want to keep must be labelled as such, otherwise, the cleaners will break them down and throw them out.
- Exhibitors requiring refrigeration etc, must book and bring their own refrigeration/freezers.
